How to glow up this summer- Inside and out
How to Glow Up This Summer – Inside and Out ✨
Hey besties! π
Soo... it’s finally summer. No school, no exams, just warm days, golden hour, iced coffee (or lemonade), and lots of time to… become the best version of YOU. π♀️
But wait — before you think “ugh not another glow-up post,” this one’s different. I’m not here to tell you to lose weight, get a six-pack, or spend money on expensive skincare. Nope. This is your real girl summer glow-up guide, for your body, mind, mood, and soul.
Because glowing up isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about reconnecting with yourself, taking care of what matters, and becoming confident, peaceful, and a little extra ✨
Ready? Let’s go glow, babe π
π Step 1: Start From the Inside
1. Fix your inner talk.
No more “I’m so lazy” or “I look awful” or “I’ll never be good enough.”
Instead, say things like:
“I’m figuring it out, and that’s okay.”
“I’m allowed to grow slowly.”
“I have a good heart, and that’s beautiful.”
Your glow starts with the way you speak to yourself. Be kind. Be your own best friend.
2. Eat to feel good, not to punish yourself.
Girl, don’t starve yourself just to look a certain way. Summer glow-up is about energy, not stress.
Eat colorful food, drink water, enjoy fruits, try smoothies, make cute meals… but also eat fries if you want to.
It’s called balance, not guilt.
3. Journal your chaos.
If your brain is messy, let it out. Write random thoughts, dreams, feelings. No one’s reading it. Just release.
Sometimes I write: “I feel weird today and I don’t know why” — and that alone helps.
Mental glow-up = peace in your head.
π§♀️ Step 2: Take Care of Your Body
4. Build a soft morning routine.
You don’t need a 5AM miracle morning. Just a calm start:
☀️ Wake up, stretch, drink water, open the window, brush your hair, wash your face.
Boom. You’re already ahead of yesterday.
5. Move your body because it feels good.
Walks, dance in your room, yoga on YouTube, swimming, playing with your siblings, chasing the ice cream truck — whatever gets you moving.
Not for “results.” For the good vibes.
6. Glow-up skincare, the simple way.
You don’t need 10 products. Honestly:
𧴠Cleanser + Moisturizer + SPF = Queen.
Optional: a lip balm and a cute body mist to smell like strawberries.
7. Keep your space cute & clean.
Make your bed. Light a candle. Put your fave items on display.
Clean room = clean mind = glowing girl.
π Step 3: Confidence Glow-Up
8. Wear what makes YOU feel pretty.
Not what TikTok says is trendy. Not what makes you feel “skinny.”
Wear colors, fun patterns, oversized shirts, long skirts, crop tops — whatever screams YOU.
Confidence is an outfit too.
9. Talk like someone who believes in herself.
Say “thank you” when someone compliments you (don’t argue!).
Say “I’m proud of this” when you finish something.
Say “no” when you don’t feel like it.
A glowing girl has boundaries and softness.
10. Take pictures even if you don’t feel cute.
One day you’ll look back and smile. Your glow isn’t always visible in the mirror — sometimes, it’s in the way you’re growing behind the scenes.
π¦ Step 4: Mind & Soul Glow-Up
11. Romanticize the little things.
Make your coffee like you’re in a movie.
Read books outside like a cottagecore fairy.
Make a playlist called “sunset tears and healing”
Look at the moon and whisper your wishes.
Life becomes magical when you start noticing the magic.
12. Take solo dates.
Go to a cafe alone. Watch the sky from your balcony. Sit in the park and draw.
Learning to enjoy your own company = POWER.
13. Detox from social media sometimes.
If you’re constantly comparing yourself online, log off for a bit.
You don’t need to announce it. Just disappear. Breathe. Be present. Your glow is not measured by likes.
14. Do more things for your inner child.
Buy bubbles. Watch cartoons. Paint rocks. Climb a tree.
Being playful is part of healing. You don’t need to act “grown up” all the time.
πΈ Step 5: Your Summer Glow Goals
Here are 6 things you can actually do to glow up in a healthy, happy way:
Drink 6–8 glasses of water daily π§
Go outside for 20 minutes a day ☀️
Do one creative thing per week (drawing, writing, baking) π¨
Sleep 7–9 hours every night π΄
Compliment someone every day π¬
Say “thank you” to yourself in the mirror π
That’s it. Nothing extreme. Just gentle growth.
π Final Words (from one girl to another)
Your glow-up isn’t about perfection.
It’s not about having flawless skin, abs, or being everyone's favorite girl on Instagram.
It’s about feeling good in your own skin, trusting yourself more, and doing the little things that make your soul sparkle ✨
Some days you’ll feel like a goddess. Other days, you’ll feel meh. That’s life. But if you keep showing up for yourself — even in small ways — you’re glowing, babe.
Remember:
Your energy is your glow. Protect it. Nurture it. Share it wisely.
If you liked this, share it with your bestie and glow together π
With love,
Emi π
